Amazon product launches

A product launched badly is harder to fix than one launched from scratch. Reviews, ranking and pricing history all persist, and they all work against you.

How we approach it

The temptation is to get something live and improve it later. In practice the first weeks set the ranking, gather the early reviews, and establish what Amazon thinks the product is — and all three are expensive to undo.

We set the listing up properly before anything goes live, get the fulfilment and compliance right from day one, and run the launch advertising that gets the product ranking while it has no sales history to trade on.

Who this suits: Brands bringing a new product to Amazon, brands moving from another channel, and anyone whose last launch never got going.

Questions

Product launch, asked and answered

How far ahead should we come to you?

Ideally before stock ships, because packaging and carton dimensions affect the fulfilment fee for the life of the product and are much cheaper to change at that stage. Six to eight weeks ahead is comfortable.

Is this included in monthly management?

Management covers ongoing work on your existing range. A launch is a defined project with its own scope, priced per product, though it costs less alongside management because we already know your account.

What if the product doesn't sell?

Some don't, and we'd rather tell you that during the research than after. If the category looks unwinnable at your cost price, we'll say so before you spend money with us.
