Fulfilment and Prime

The Prime badge moves sales more than almost anything else on a listing. Keeping it is an operational problem, not a marketing one.

How we approach it

Fulfilment choice is per product, not per business. Small, fast-moving items almost always belong in FBA. Bulky, slow-moving or awkward items are frequently cheaper fulfilled by you, and sometimes dramatically so once storage is counted.

Seller Fulfilled Prime is where most brands come unstuck. The metrics are unforgiving, and the usual cause of failure isn't the seller at all — it's a delivery promise the carrier was never going to meet, like a Saturday date with a carrier that doesn't deliver on Saturdays. Amazon's own reports contain the evidence, and we build the case from them.

Who this suits: Brands on Seller Fulfilled Prime, brands who've lost Prime eligibility, and anyone shipping products too large or awkward for standard carrier networks.

Questions

Fulfilment & Prime, asked and answered

We've lost Premium Shipping eligibility. Can you get it back?

Often, yes. It usually needs a plan of action showing the cause, what changed, and current metrics back inside threshold. We've written and had these accepted. We won't promise reinstatement, because the decision is Amazon's, but we'll tell you honestly how strong your case looks before you pay for anything.

Our carrier says our parcels are too big.

That's common with oversized items and it's worth challenging rather than accepting. There are usually options: a different service tier, a direct commercial account rather than a marketplace-linked one, or a different carrier entirely. We've had this argument ourselves and know which routes tend to work.

Should we move everything to FBA?

Probably not. FBA is excellent for small, fast-moving products and expensive for bulky slow ones. We'll show you the figures per product rather than recommending a blanket answer.
