Amazon fees and margin
Amazon's charges are structural. Get the structure right once and it pays on every unit you ship, for as long as you sell the product.
How we approach it
Almost no brand we meet knows its true margin per product. The figure exists, but it's spread across settlement reports, fee previews, storage charges, returns and advertising, and Amazon never puts it on one page. We build that page.
The single biggest lever is usually the fulfilment fee. It's set by size tier, and size tier is set by the dimensions Amazon measures when your stock arrives — not the ones on your spec sheet. A carton a centimetre too long, or packed square when it could be packed at an angle, pays a higher fee on every unit, indefinitely.
Who this suits: Anyone selling at lower price points, shipping bulky or awkward products, or unable to say which of their products actually make money.

Questions
Fees & margin, asked and answered
How much is usually there to find?
It varies enormously, so we won't promise a figure. What we can say is that a single size tier change on a product selling a few hundred units a month typically pays for a year of our fee, and unclaimed reimbursements are common.
Do you handle the packaging change itself?
We model it and specify it. Your supplier makes the change, and we check the new dimensions have been recorded correctly once stock arrives, which is the step that usually gets missed.
Can you do this without account access?
Not properly. Fees, settlements and recorded dimensions are all inside Seller Central. Read-only access is enough, or you can run the exports yourself if you'd rather.
